Results across the county indicate a huge thirst for competitive action

Goals galore in the sub-county tier of FKF competitions in Embu County

After last week’s curtain-raiser between Triumph and Simba, competitive football activity is now on in full gear across Embu County. This weekend has seen 32 matches played by Embu teams. The matches are spread across three tiers- Division 2, County League and Sub-County Level.

Pace Setters

EWASCO set the pace for the weekend action with a 1-0 win over Isiolo Youth at Njukiri Showground on Saturday. The win was their first of the season after opening with draws against Kapa, Chuka and 3k. In the other Division 2 match played over the weekend, 3K drew 2-2 away at Mutindwa.

With the pace done set for the weekend, teams showed great readiness by showing up early for games in both the county and sub-county leagues on Sunday. Here are the full results for the first round of play:

The league is also underway in Mbeere North and Mbeere South Sub Counties. We will update the results as soon as they come in. Embu West and Embu North sub-county editions are set to kick off this weekend. Stakeholders from the two regions will be meeting the county FKF office at Embu Talent Academy Tuesday at 2 pm to make the final preparations ahead of the weekend showdown.
